The large numeral '100' on the centre of the denomination panel and promise text either side of it in English and Hindi. 'I/PROMISE/TO PAY THE/BEARER/THE SUM OF/ONE HUNDRED/RUPEES' in 7 lines. Signed by the 'GOVERNOR' in English and Hindi below promise text. 'ONE HUNDRED RUPEES' text in vertical band next to the watermark panel. 'एक सौ रुपये' in Hindi text below Ashoka pillar. Red serial numbers with double alphanumeric on the top right and bottom left. Relief underprint of '100 RS' beneath the top right serial number.

Micro lettering: Appears around the denomination panel and either side of RBI seal, it contains the text 'RESERVEBANKOFINDIA' in micro letters. This feature can be seen better under a magnifying glass.
