The denominational numeral '१००' in Devnagari in left, Mahatma Gandhi's portrait in the centre and Watermark window at right. 'महात्मा गांधी' 'MAHATMA GANDHI' text below Mahatma Gandhi portrait. The vertical band next to watermark window and Ashoka Pillar with 'सत्यमेव जयते' on the bottom of it. Promise text both in Hindi and English text in between Mahatma Gandhi's portrait and watermark window and signed by the GOVERNOR below it. Promise text 'I PROMISE TO/PAY THE BEARER/THE SUM OF ONE/HUNDRED RUPEES' in 4 lines. RBI seal with tiger and palm tree below the Governor signature. Numeric '₹100' in the bottom left corner. Black serial numbers with ascending font in top left corner and bottom right corner. Large '₹100' above the bottom right serial number. Tiny '₹100' near to Mahatma Gandhi portrait. Micro text 'RBI', ‘भारत ', ‘INDIA' and '100'. Design geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme both side. See-through register with the denominational numeral '100'. The Colour of the thread changes from green to blue when the note is tilted. The thread is visible as a continuous line from behind when held up against the light

Ascending size (Novel/Telescopic) serial number: A new numbering pattern, now the numerals in both the serial numbers of the note will be in ascending size from left to right. While the first 3 alphanumeric characters (Prefix) remains constant in size.

Bleed lines: With a view to facilitating identification of denomination of the note by visually impaired persons, ₹ 100 banknotes will have a total of 4 angular bleed lines in two sets of 2-2 lines on the obverse on both the left and right -hand edge of the note.

Identification Mark: A special feature in intaglio has been introduced above Ashoka Pillar triangle shape with micro text '100' and helps the visually impaired to identify the denomination. 

Intaglio Printing: The portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, the Reserve Bank seal, guarantee and promise clause, Ashoka Pillar Emblem on the left, RBI Governor's signature are printed in intaglio i.e. in raised prints, which can be felt by touch. 

Electrotype Watermark: In addition to the Mahatma Gandhi watermark, the denominational numeral '100' appears alongside Mahatma Gandhi portrait in the watermark window.

Micro lettering: It contains the word 'RBI', ‘भारत ', ‘INDIA' and '100'. This feature can be seen better under a magnifying glass.

Fluorescence: Serial number of the note is printed in fluorescent ink. The note has dual coloured optical fibres. Both can be seen when the note is viewed under ultra-violet light.

See-through Register: Denominational numeral 100, Half of the numeral is printed on the front and half on the back. Both the printed portions have an accurate back to back registration so that the numeral appears as one when seen against the light.
